Hot Honey Glazed Fried Chicken

Our Hot Honey was made for one thing above all: pouring over crispy fried chicken. Here's the definitive recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp paprika
  • Peanut oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup Weeks Hot Honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Method

  1. Brine chicken in buttermilk 4 hours (or overnight).
  2. Dredge in seasoned flour, rest 10 min.
  3. Fry at 350°F until internal temp hits 165°F (~14 min).
  4. Drain on rack, not paper towels.
  5. Warm Hot Honey + cider vinegar together, drizzle over chicken.

Pro tip: The chicken needs to be HOT when the honey hits it — the heat activates the chili in the honey and melts it into the crust.
